Norwich Consolidated Charities REFERRAL ACCEPTED THROUGH NCAN FROM NAS ONLY
We consider grants to individuals with children for essential household items such as cookers, beds, washing machines and flooring. We are unable to help with regular household bills. We welcome enquiries from people with children who have identified ways that they could escape poverty but need some financial support to achieve their goals.
We can also help with Bankruptcy or Debt Relief Order (DROs) fees if you are referred by one of our trusted partner organisations (please ask your debt advisor).
STEAM Café Wellbeing Hubs (in King’s Lynn and Great Yarmouth)
SERVICE OFFER: STEAM is a space, that is tailored to offer holistic assistance from fully trained multidisciplinary teams to adults experiencing a mental health crisis – day or night. They can arrange access to guidance across housing, benefits, domestic abuse, LGBTQ+ and more. There are 2 sites: one in King’s Lynn, and another one in Gorleston, near Great Yarmouth.
CRITERIA FOR ACCEPTING REFERRALS: Adults in King’s Lynn & West Norfolk; or Great Yarmouth and East Norfolk.

CRITERIA: All across Norfolk who have been affected by pregnancy loss, an unexpected pregnancy or pregnancy related issues.
HEADWAY Norfolk & Waveney brain injury charity
https://headway-nw.org.uk/home/SERVICE OFFER: We support people who have been affected by an acquired brain injury including strokes, trauma, aneurysms, encephalitis, and brain tumours. We provide information, education and support to families, carers and individuals with an aim to gain confidence and overcome challenges. We promote independence and rehabilitation, providing support services directly to those in need.CRITERIA: Adults over 18 who have sustained an acquired brain injury after birth. Conditions include: trauma from road traffic collisions and assaults, illness such as encephalitis and viruses, tumours or surgery and strokes.
Henderson Trust
https://henderson-norwich.org/Main Service Offer: Henderson Trust offers a range of free weekly sessions at the Cadge Road Community Centre, Cadge Road, Norwich, NR5 8DD. Our sessions are for those 50 and over, unless otherwise specified. We offer free arts and crafts workshops, social afternoons and a Sit Fit class.
Criteria: We support those aged 50 years and over. Our arts/crafts session is available to women over the age of 18.
IPS Routes Employment Service @ Norfolk and Waveney MIND

We offer support into paid employment through one to one coaching and employer contacts made specifically on behalf of each individual. We also support people already in work to retain employment.
CRITERIA:
1) Open to those whose GP Surgery falls within Norfolk and Waveney and have the right to work in the UK.
2) Individuals must have been receiving clinical support for their mental health for 6 months (including receiving medication), or have a diagnosis such as; psychosis, bipolar, anxiety disorder, eating disorder or personality disorder.
3) Aged 18+

SERVICE OFFER:
– Courses for adults, including vocational qualifications and apprenticeships,
– One-to-one Skills and Career Advice
– Information, Advice and Guidance on further learning and training, employment, jobs and starting a new business.
CRITERIA:
Norfolk residents aged 19 plus. Please check our courses for up-to-date eligibility. Family Learning programmes for parents and carers aged 16 plus with their children. Many of our courses can be free.

The House of Genesis

We are a housing charity which provides accommodation for up to seventeen men within five homes in Norwich.
CRITERIA:
Our service is available to men who have been released on license from prison, street homelessness, self-referral and those who have experienced alcohol and substance misuse. The men need to demonstrate that they are abstinent from illicit substances or on a reduction programme
