ACE provide support programmes and qualifications for young people and adults who need additional and individualised help to progress within education, or into employment or further training.
YOUNG PEOPLE (8-24): We provide Alternative Provision for mainstream schools and vocational Study Programmes – a full-time college equivalent alternative, where young people can learn skills such as mechanics, plastering, carpentry, tourism, hair & beauty and much more. We have small class sizes, brain-friendly learning and hands-on vocational teaching methods, with supplementary functional skills tuition, enrichment studies (such as trips to sector-based workplaces) and work experience opportunities (for post-16 students only).
ADULTS (18+): ACE deliver a range of funded adult support programmes, including Multiply numeracy skills and Skills Bootcamps - offering flexible training of up to 16 weeks, so adults have the opportunity upskill or retrain in sector-specific skills including technical and digital training and fast-track to an interview with a local employer. There is also a variety of funded community outreach/support projects for unemployed adults, ex-offenders, women, and other minority groups, as well as volunteering projects.
