Scams Prevention Service

Being a victim of scam/fraud can have a large scale and lasting impact on a person both financially and emotionally. Norfolk Scam Prevention Service (NSPS) is a new, non-investigative, free and confidential service covering the whole of Norfolk for victims of scams and fraud. Working in partnership with Norfolk’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Norfolk Police and Trading Standards, we offer specialist support to individuals that have been targeted by scammers.


The aim of NSPS is to reduce the likelihood of repeat victimisation of vulnerable victims of scam and further targeting by working with partners to provide appropriate advice, guidance and support and to raise awareness of scams in Norfolk so that less of the population become victims of scams.


We can arrange for a trained Police Volunteer to call/ visit you at your home and talk through what has happened, offer support and help to ensure that it never happens again. We can provide advocacy, practical advice and information to develop your confidence and safety, and we can offer follow-up support to help you cope and recover from your experience.
