Norfolk Befriending Service – Caring Together

Caring Together is a leading charity supporting carers of all ages across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and Norfolk.

At Caring Together our vision is a world with no unpaid carer in crisis, isolated or struggling alone.

More than three in five of us will become a carer at some point in our life. And if you are looking after a family member or friend, we are here to help you.

Service Offer

Our Norfolk Befriending Service offers an inclusive, trusted service that matches volunteers with unpaid carers to help reduce loneliness and social isolation, build confidence, and improve wellbeing.

Any carer looking after someone can be referred if the person who would like befriending is able to manage well day-to-day, is interested in building a friendly relationship with a new person, and would benefit from company and conversation.

Please note, Norfolk the Befriending Service is not a sitting service or replacement for paid care. Our volunteers cannot assist with mobility, personal care or with administering medication and all referrals will be subject to assessment and evaluation of risk.
