Norfolk Libraries – National Databank

Norfolk Library and Information Service is a network of 47 libraries and 5 mobile libraries.

We believe in the unlimited potential for libraries to make a positive difference to people’s lives and communities, and welcome thousands of visitors to our libraries and online services every day.

Service Offer

Are you struggling to afford an internet connection or mobile phone contract?

Norfolk Libraries can help by providing free SIM cards through the National Databank.

Like a foodbank but for mobile data, the National Databank helps digitally excluded people get connected.

Referral Criteria

We can give free data to people who are 18+ years old, AND from a low-income household. One or more of the following statements must also apply:

  • No or insufficient access to the internet at home
  • AND/OR no or insufficient access to the internet away from home
  • AND/OR cannot afford a monthly contract or top-up

You must also have a SIM capable device that is unlocked or is compatible with one of the available providers (currently O2 or Vodafone).

To request a SIM or find out more, speak to staff at your local library or contact us at 01603 774777 or libraries.iconnect@norfolk.gov.uk
