Voluntary Norfolk is working in partnership on a new project in Norwich, Great Yarmouth, South Norfolk and Broadland to tackle the physical and mental health impacts of loneliness and isolation.
At the heart of the service is a free Helpline where clients can get one-to-one support and professionals can make a referral. Better Together also has a team of Life Connectors who visit clients for a short term intervention and help them overcome the practical and emotional challenges that prevent them joining in and connecting to other, whilst another team of Community Development Workers support the activities and development of community-led groups and initiatives.
