Green Light Trust (current courses are for 16-25 yo)

The Green Light Trust offer free wellbeing courses in our woodland spaces for adults.  Participants attend fully funded sessions in one of our woodland locations one day a week for several weeks.  Wellbeing activities include nature walks, tree and hedge planting and pruning, identifying various plants, trees and animal tracks, green woodwork, bushcraft (shelters, fires), cooking and enjoying campfire lunch together.

Our courses are suitable for Adults* in Norfolk who have experience of the following types of issues:

  • - Poor mental health and emotional wellbeing
  • - Social isolation/social anxiety
  • - In recovery from alcohol or substance misuse
  • - Victims of violence, trauma or abuse
  • - Behavioural problems
  • - Long term unemployment
  • - Chronic illness or physical disabilities
  • - History of offending
  • - Ex-military personnel

*PLEASE NOTE: The current courses are for 16-25 yo. New courses for other age groups/gender will be posted soon.




The Green Light Trust have some FREE upcoming Natural Alternatives courses that we are running at Strumpshaw Fen, just outside Norwich and Blickling Hall near Aylsham.

These courses are aimed at young people aged 16 to 25 who are struggling with life progression and wellbeing due to mental health or other barriers.

You can book clients onto the courses via the NCAN referral system if you have an account; we will contact them and offer to enrol them, or directly from our website.

Thursday 16th June – Blickling Hall

Friday 17th June – Strumpshaw Fen

The courses run one day a week for 6 weeks, from 10am – 2:30pm. A free cooked campfire lunch is included in the day. Participants will have the opportunity to learn a number of practical woodland management, green woodworking, woodland craft and bushcraft skills.

If you are booking on behalf of a young person who requires support to attend sessions you are welcome to attend all or part of the course.  Please note places are limited for these courses.
