DadsOnside offers support for dads experiencing challenges in relation to their role as fathers. (Support is for all dads, including stepdads, adoptive dads, expectant dads and those in a fathering role.) We cover the whole of Norfolk, providing tailored one-to-one support for men who might be experiencing challenges relating to contact, for new and expectant dads and for dads where there may be concerns about harsh or abusive behaviours.
As well as one-to-one support, we offer peer support groups and the Caring Dads Programme for dads who are exhibiting harsh or abusive behaviours. Additionally, we signpost and refer to other agencies and the other programmes and activities which MensCraft deliver.
MensCraft requests referrals contain the following information for each referral:
- First name
- Last name
- Date of birth
- Phone
- Address*
- Consent to be contacted
- Preferred means of contact
- Referral context and background
- Information on other service engagement
- Actions already taken
- Any risks to be aware of
- Special arrangements or requirements
*N.B. MensCraft only accepts referrals of individuals who are settled and housed in the community.
